hey guy's i have a 2008 ranger XL 5 speed manual
i have 56,000km on it

i have strange noise coming which seems to be the axle, but hard to tell, could be driveshaft or u joints

the noise is a high pitch kind of howling sound and only happens as i am releasing the clutch, (it is not the clutch squeak, trust me i had that issue, and got it fixed)

the problem this only happens on the initial launch, as i am releasing the clutch
after a couple launch's the sound goes away

if i park the truck for an hour, come back , there it is again

i can manage to avoid the noise if i release the clutch super slow and gas super slow,

what could be causing this?

thanks

Same issue....

I just started having the exact same issue today, so I thought I'd search the forum. I have a 97 4x4 xlt 5 spd. I know your post is over a year old, but what eventually fixed your problem? My clutch is only 2 years old. Original tranny with 82k on it.

Thanks for the help
