Was wondering if a passenger seat from a 2005 Ranger will bolt into my 2002. I have the 60/40 bench in a 2-door supercab. Wanted to check before driving down an hour to take a look at the seat... Also, is it T55 bolts attaching the seat to the floor?

Thanks for the help!

As long as its from a super cab it will bolt on.

Did that 2005 seat work out?

For some reason the junkyards around here don't believe a 2005 seat would fit in a 2001 Ranger, is that correct?

On my 2003 EDGE, std cab, the seat sliders unbolted from the seat pan.
I thought I was in for a bunch of mod’g when I wanted to fit the Ext Cab Buckets in my Std Cab. Sliders swapped over no problem and all fit perfectly.

OK back to your subject… if the sliders unbolt from your existing seats and you can find a passenger seat with sliders that unbolt, you can swap seats.
I swapped a 60/40 seat to two buckets, didn’t know at the time about the passenger seats being the same.
When I was doing the swap I noticed the Seat Pan on the passenger replacement seat wasn’t in as good shape as my original unit. I checked it out and used the bottom of my original seat, with the back of the new bucket seat and also noticed the seat pans were the same on both sides for buckets.
I had to switch the seat covers so all matched but I installed heaters anyway, it all worked out.

All of the necessary holes are in the seat pans and allows the use of a passenger side seat in the drivers side. Only thing you might lose is the back support, but since the backs are the same you might switch them over too, that is if you have the lower back support now.

So two passenger side seats equate to one set of buckets if you have the correct sliders.

If the sliders do not unbolt I am sorry but fab’g might be the only way.

Thanks for the reply. Ended up getting a 2003 FX4 passenger 40 seat as a temporary solution and will continue the search for 2004+ 60/40 seats using your insight. :icon_thumby:
