Can you change the bearing on the passenger side of the differential that is right behind the seal? If so how does it come out?

Hopefully someone who has done it will eventually answer.

Is this the Dana 35 SLA axle? If so, by looking at the diagram in the tech article, I would guess that that bearing (stub shaft bearing, part# 16) would be removed when you push the axle shaft out of the differential. Then you could remove the retaining ring and pull the bearing off the axle.

But I've never worked on that axle. From the diagram, I don't see any good way to do it without opening the differential cover.

took a quick glance at one today, looks like its just pressed in. should pull out easily if you have a tool with short teeth to get behind it.
that shaft is not held in by a C clip, instead its held in by a clip in the splines, pull shaft to remove it.
I don't think the diff needs opened up to do this.
