My transmission went out in my 2000 ranger. It is a 3.0 2wd auto. The 2004 possible donor is the same. I know the transmissions are different but if I swap the complete engine and transmission with their wiring harness and ECM from the 2004 into my 2000 will it work? What problems might I run into? Will the trucks complete wiring harness need to be changed or only what concerns the engine and transmission. Thanks in advance for any and all help. Also my 2000 is a flex fuel model and the 2004 donor is not.
