I'd like to add a 6 gauge cluster in place of my current 4 gauge cluster. Has anyone tried these set ups? I have looked for the pin outs for each of the 3 clusters to no avail. I would like to also know it the F-150 will physically fit in compared to my stock one. How much larger, (width, height and depth) are they? I am not shy about modifying the mountings or re-pinning the plugs if they are interchangable. I would like to know if anyone has had any success with either of these gauge sets before I purchase a used one from the salvage yard. I am aware of possible odometer issues with them, willing to work with it as well. I would just like to know if anyone has tried this, what their issues were and if it was successful. If this hasn't been done, I will move forward and pass along any information or issues that I run into for the next guy who might like to try this,

I would think the 2004 Explorer would fit just match the pinouts and extra sensors.

dvdswan, I’ve got a 2002-2005 Mountaineer gauge set that’ll need a little modification to mount, but the plug-ins are different housings as well as the pinning I think. I have not been able to compare, w/o pinning diagram for both sets of plugs.

Id forget the F150 cluster. I doubt itd even physically fit

Are these the HybridElectronicCluster\HEC? If so, they may physically fit & connect,
but HEC Clusters & PCMs are securely mated to each other via factory firmware;
require reprogramming to be swapped & working; not easy\cheap.

Yes, the 2004 Ranger is a HEC cluster.
