2003 3.0L Ford-Specific Codes

Hey all,
It's my first post on this forum, usually I'm able to gleam information from other threads however this problem is stumping me.
I'm working on this 2003 XL that was sitting out in a field for a while & I just got it running (yay!) However, upon checking the CEL, I've got 2 codes I cannot identify. (along with P0446 but I'm working on the evap. system.)
They are: P1043 & C016B (cheapo scanner identifies as "Manufacturer Control")
I looked at the list of trouble codes, but could not find a match. Anyone with any experience with these codes, or access to a more inclusive list, your help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

you can do an internet search, enter ford code p1043, or whatever it is.
the results I saw don't look like anything a Ranger has.

neither of those codes are in a 2005 Ford car/truck powertrain control/emissions diagnosis manual.
