My alignment is way out, and I'm about ready to rebuild the front end before getting new tires & a new alignment.

My question is what parts do I need for this job? I think I need tie rod ends, but I'm not sure if there are multiples of this part per side. What other parts are standard wear and would be good to replace?

Can someone list out the names of the parts and how many I'd need of each, so I can start price shopping?

Outer tie rod ends 2 each

Upper control arm Left and Right

Camber bolt kit (for upper control arm) 2 each

Lower ball joint 2 each

Sway bar links 2 each

Shock absorbers 2 each

Caliper hose, left and right

Front brake pads

Front Rotor, 4WABS, 2 each

RockAuto.com is a good place to start pricing parts.

What I do is take it to a front end shop and get a safety check for free. They have to tell you what it needs. I install the parts and then give them the alignment as a courtesy. If you have a frame and axle close by go there in general they do the best alignments!

Pressing new bushings in the rear leafs and replacing any worn parts there as well will tighten it up also. Especially if you do alot of wheelin.

I looked at Rock Auto and am a little overwhelmed by some of the sections. One had about 40 options, each having very similar descriptions.

If I post these pictures will it help narrow down which of each part I'm looking for?

What is this bar? Is this the outer tie rod? What about the vertical bar right behind it? What is that?

Is the thick U shaped piece at the top of this picture the "control arm"?

What's beneath the long narrow rubber boot here? I replaced the wheel bearing/CV joint a year ago (it's behind the long narrow boot)

Thanks again for your help.. I have a fork type tool I bought from the auto store, and all other tools needed. I just want to make sure I order the right parts so I don't have to ship pieces back and wait, ect.

The vertical bar you asked about is the swaybar links. Replace them.

To give you an idea of what is involved go to you-tube and check out the upper and lower ball joint replacement on a ranger/mazda truck. Sway bar links should also be replace as stated above.
