I bought a 2002 Ranger Edge 3.0, 5 Speed, with 120k about a month ago. I'm noticing a ticking noise coming from somewhere in the back of the motor when I'm slowing down to a stop. It does not come from the engine when its idling or reving. Sometimes it's louder than other times.
Also while sitting at a stop the idle on the truck seems a little too rough. Its never died on me, it just gets a little shakey sometimes while sitting at a light.
One more thing is sometimes it takes a little while to crank over. Around 3-4 sec. It always starts after that. If my car was just running then I start it up it starts instantly. I have already changed the fuel filter and ran a fuel treatment cleaner through(Lucas Oil) Any Tips/Tricks are welcome. I'm used to older cars as I have owned 65, 66 and 68 Mustangs and a 64 Falcon. This fuel injection stuff gets me lol. Thanks.
