im replacing a 2001 v6 3.0 with a 2005 v6 3.0. i was told that when i put this newer engine in, i need to change the oil pan and air intake with the ones from the old one. is there anything im missing? will it fit in perfectly like that?

Didn't the wiring change in 2004? If so, wouldn't the 2004+ wiring harness need to be swapped over as well?

Stick with the 05' intake. It's a composite--it flows a lot better than the aluminum intake on your 01', much better torque curve as well. No EGR on the 05' vs EGR on the 01'.

hey what r u doing with ur 2001 rangers 3.0L i blow mine wondering if u r goingt o be selling it
