I have a 2001 Ford Ranger Edge 2wd with a 4 inch suspension lift with Mickey Thompson 18" wheels and 33x12.50x18 Toyo MT's. I took my truck to get a front end alignment and they told me it couldn't be done because the upper control arm maxes out before reaching the correct alignment. The guy i bought the truck from told me it needed a 3 Degree camber kit but i can't find one anywhere. The wheels sit in up top and i don't want to ruin these tires (379.00 a piece) and i need the alignment asap. I'll supply a pic of the truck and if anyone can help me out it'll be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
The guy new to Ford Rangers ha.

If someone would like to explain it to me and would rather call me please pm me and i'll give u my phone number.

Thanks again.

:icon_confused: Hmmm...RockAuto has 2.25 degree. I got some 3 degree bushings for my B2 there. Maybe try O'Reilys. I think alot of guys get them there.. or take it to a dedicated off-road shop. Good luck! Truck looks bad-ass by the way. Too bad it's 2wd :icon_twisted:

Welcome to the site. Truck looks really good. See this:

I think that may work for you. All you need to install them is to remove the top bolts from the upper control arm and install the new bolts. Tighten them up and the drive to the alignment shop.

That looks like a lot of negative camber. Do you know how the truck is lifted? Spindles and a torsion bar crank?

Its lifted by spindles i believe. The guy i bought the truck from bought them off ebay and the brand is springtech. I contacted the guy he bought them from and he said that if it doesn't have a caster/camber kit on it that the alignment shop will not be able to get it aligned. The guy i bought the truck from said it needed a 3 degree camber kit and all i've been able to find is the 2.25 but not 3. Thanks for the comments on the truck and i agree too bad its only 2wd but its a good looking 2wd lol.. Thanks for everyones help.

did you get it straightened out? looks like it just has a helluva torsion crank. Check the bolts on the torsion keys and backing them out a little would lower the front a little, but it looks like its a little higher than the back anyway. I have the same front setup as you, but a have coil springs instead of torsion bars, and I installed coil spacers for a little front lift and I have a little bit of the same problem, but my tires aren't cocked in that much. When the previous owner said 4" suspension lift, he must have meant that the torsion bars are cranked a little because those spindles will give you 3" of lift. Long story short, backing out the torsion bar bolts should lower the front back into spec. oh, and that's a sweet looking truck!!!

That's exactly what i done. I took it to gateway tire and they lowered it using the torsion bars because the previous owner had them cranked to the max. my camber still ain't perfect but its way better than what it was. only about 1.5 degrees out now instead of 3+degrees like it was. also put a camber bolt kit on it and it helped a lot as well. truck looks even better with it leveled instead of higher in the front. Also I've camo'd my door carpeting and my headliner which looks great. Done all the work myself. Let me know what you all think.

Thanks for everyone's feedback and complements on my truck.
