2000 to a 2004 x cab

Hey everyone, my name is jeff new here. Just got 2004 x cab 4x4 was 4.0 and want to put it on a 2000 x cab frame is a 3.0. (2) wheel .I have been a heavy equipment mechanic for 35 yrs know how to fix your rangers!!! Willing. To help..just not up on my swapping stuff any input would be a life saver thx jeff
