I found a 2000 Ford Ranger XLT 4x4 with 134,000 miles. I haven't called on it yet so I don't know if it's a 4 or 6, auto or manual. What do you think?

I think nothing, because you gave us nothing to think about other than the fact that you found a ranger.

Yes, I got distracted by something and couldn't finish my thoughts. A guy has this truck for sale or trade. He's asking $5,000 for it. I would be consider trading him my car of roughly the same value. The truck has a couple small rust areas, but so does my car. I was wondering what to be looking for and if this is a good year. I do need to find out what engine it has, I know.
I had a '94 once and really enjoyed it and found it handy. I miss having one. Thanks,Scott

4WD automatically makes it a V6 for the 2000 model year.

So what model is it and what motor, trans 4x4 2wd?....etc. etc.

Darn, I hate this Ipad sometimes. I hit submit before I meant to. I saw that you said it was an XLT and 4x4. Sorry. Just go see it and make sure everything works good before you buy it.
