Just tieing it into the wires that are going to the seat should be ok.
Most of the junk on the seat won't fit in a Ranger anyway, I never hooked up the power lumbar on my Ranger when I put explorer seats in since mine is a fleet model it didn't have anything from the factory (even the crossmember for the buckets...) I left the power adjust buttons in place since they are on the side trim piece, just not using them.
The seat heater in my Explorer doesn't work on the drivers side, does on the passenger side... I'll look into that someday, probably when I get seats that don't have 240k miles on them...
