2000 3.0L VIN "V" into a 1998 3.0L VIN "U". What needs to be replaced?

Just picked up a 1998 Ranger with a 3.0L VIN "U" with a bad engine. Got a line at a yard on a 2000 3.0L VIN "V" Flex Fuel. What components need to be changed from the non-Flex Fuel motor to the Flex Fuel motor for proper interchange? I've searched the 3.0L forum and haven't gotten definitive answers. HELP!? Thanks!

i think the flex motor is all in the heads...may have a few different sensors...just drop it in and go....if one from a prob will work in a ranger...one from a ranger will work

Put the U injectors in the V engine. I'm not sure if the damper on the fuel rail is different or not, so use the U rail, since you are in there anyway.

Use the original U PCM.

This would be a good time to replace the Cam Synchro and oil pan gasket in the donor.
