You asked before... no it wasn’t a 3.0l truck. Here’s what Ford knows about it.

The goat would have had this truck running by now.

Goat is a lawyer as stated.

TIMING FIXED!!!!!!!!! to the genius at ford who decided to put a diamond mark AND and triangle mark on the cam gear, please go sit in a bathtub full of broken glass and tabasco sauce.

I had it on the "diamond" mark and not the "triangle" mark.

Anyway.... next riddle. Who here knows which of these two ports are for the coolant lines?

Its because the Cam and Aux gear are interchangeable
And yes I have said the same in several posts

Not sure on which of those might be intake heater connections for coolant

I never claimed to be much for paying attention. :icon_rofl:

But anyway its almost done. Figured out the coolant lines. Have to fix a broken EGR valve bolt, figure out the vacuum routing, and finish putting the compressor back in. Then just some fluid flushes and hopefully it goes vroom.

Engines go vroom

So close to vroom or boom!

One big a$$ vacuum leak with EGR valve off, lol

The bolt was broke when I got it, only one was holding it on. Just smothered in RTV to seal it. I actually considered putting it back on the same way but no way it can seal with one bolt... like I said, this thing has alot of terrible half assed repairs I have to fight with while re-assembling but after I saw how amazingly clean and good it is internally I decided it's worth it. Pistons, valves, cylinder bores all in amazing shape and not a hint of sludge build up anywhere.

If i didn't screw anything up assembling it, it should run great. Knock on wood.

Transmission is another issue but it drove here so I assume its good enough for a little while. I it can give me till spring before it explodes ill be happy.

Could just glue the egr back on with the magic booger machine.
