2.9 ranger relay clicks rapidly

got a 1991 2.9 ranger it’s been sitting for a while i can’t get it to run. When you turn the key over to run the fuel pump relay clicks rapidly and truck will not start.It has spark and fuel pressure. Any ideas?

That typically points to a low voltage situation.

I would start by cleaning up your relay connections.

I agree.
Check your battery for charge. Ideally it should be 12.2V or better. 12.8V is a new battery. 12.2 is time to start shopping.
Make sure the main heavy gauge cables are clean and not corroded under the insulation, both +ve and -ve need looked at. Battery to starter and in between.
