Doing 2” drop springs on the front of my ‘94 Ranger, I’ve read some places that drop shocks will be required and other places they will not be for that amount of drop. Currently it has 3 year old KYB gas-a-just’s on the front but they’re more of a “truck shock” and being im changing position of things in the front I’d think it would be wise to change them. So basically, for 2” of drop should I go with just a run of the mill replacement or Belltech nitro drop’s, or does anyone vote I keep the KYB gas-a-just’s for whatever reason?

EDIT: I did have my ‘06 b2300 on a 2/2 drop and used the cheapest replacement shocks I could get my hands on and it did great, but this truck being I beam suspension is why I ask.

Your existing shocks will be fine since you didn't modify anything that changes the motion range of the suspension itself.

those KYB's should be fine.

I've herard of Some Nissan guys using the 4wd shocks on their 2wd lowered trucks
