Was wondering about what it'd take to retrofit a factory cruise control to the old gal.
After looking over some diagrams and rockauto, I've identified a few similarities & differences:

1985 & earlier
- Speedo sensor connects to transmission

1986 & newer
- Speedo sensor connects to rear diff
- Switch connector (rock auto)

1988 only
- Speedo sensor connects to rear diff
- Switch connector (rock auto)
- Release switch? (rock auto)

Cruise Servo/Connector/Transducer, Turn Signal Switch, & Speedo Sensor part numbers all look to be the same across all years.
So I'm guessing the current speed sensor in my TK5 should function.

I'm guessing the deviations on rock auto are related to the fuel injection/engine management?
Aside from a EEC split at the transmission solenoid*? & speed sensor controls, it looks to be a direct swap.

Parts Ito acquire:
cruise module/amplifier behind the fuse box
Entire steering column w/ switches
servo cable?
vacuum vent solenoid(atop brake pedal?)
diaphragm in the fender
associated wiring
- clutch/break switch if different than standard

Thoughts? Figured it might make a fun tech article if possible.
