1999 XLT - Fender Flares

Hello! I am looking for fender flares. Does anyone have any luck in trying the universal fits found all over eBay?

I’m aware that Bushwacker has some, but really trying to not drop another $400+ on something so soon (just got a grill guard.)

LMC has both the stainless steel thinner and the "flexy" super wide for $110... in the description at the top it says "set of 4"
