1998 ranger to 2000 5.0 swap

Im putting the whole explorer wire harness and stuff in the ranger. The ranger has only rear abs, and the explorer had 4 wheel abs. Can I use the explorer module and just block the lines to the front? Using the explorer harness and the connectors are completely different.

Can't use the explorer rearend? Will the hubs with the teeth on them retro fit to your ranger rearend? The ranger is drum and the explorer disc in the rear?

I am, but the abs system is different. I'll try and get the speed sensors from the explorer front and all the lines to hook up 4 wabs

Ok, you are going to use the complete explorer harness, including the 4wabs, but you want to use the ranger frontend. So you want to transition from explorer to ranger on the frontend. Hope you get it.

Do you want 4wabs? Do you have a complete Explorer donor? You would just need to swap the CV axle shafts and hub assemblies in the front to convert it over to the “live” front axle and ABS sensors. Your rear axle already has the sensor you need.

Your other option is to eliminate the 4wabs. I know it can be done but I don’t remember specifics but just plugging the front ports on the ABS block is not the answer.

I would imagine he wants plug and play. No wiring diagrams, or re-pinning connectors. No research on what goes to what. Just plug it all up.
