I have a 98' Ranger 2.5l and I noticed yesterday that the passenger side airbag light stays on, indicating the airbag is off, even tho the switch is in the on position. When I turn the ignition to the on position the light comes on as it should then goes out, but comes back on once the truck is started. My question is since there are no codes in the system is it possibly just a matter of putting something like wd-40 to lube up the switch, or is there something that I'm missing?

Thanks for the help in advance.

P.S. The neither the airbag light in the cluster nor the one in question flash any sort of codes.

Airbag light on all the time

Im bumping this thread, cause I have the same problem. Same truck, only with the 4.0L
