Ok, so the other night I finally got the truck to start after swithcing out the computer to match the new motor
. So today I was going through it, bleeding the brakes and adding various fluids, got that done and hopped in with my girlfriend applied the brakes and shift it into reverse. Nothing, didn't even feel like it went in gear. I had her get in the drivers seat and I went under to make sure the shifter linkage was moving the shifting mechanism and it was. I took a hammer and gave it a few taps and still nothing. I checked the fuses they're all good. The only thing I can think of is that before I put the new torque converter in, I didn't add any fluid to it. The folks at the local ford said this was fine but that I needed to let it idle for a bit before moving it to allow the transmission pump to fill the torque converter. I did this as well. It does have a computer to a 1997 explorer sport 4x4, but I wouldn't think this would be the cause. The transmission was working fine before the whole dissasembly. I have no clue what it could be, any suggestions would be much thanks. Otherwise I'm taking it to a shop where they charge at least a paycheck for it.
