which is a evap problem,
the truck has 63k and runs great, the engine light came on recently and it just so happens that the tags expire at the end of august so it's time to take action.
I checked the gas cap as well as i can, i was able to pull air into the cap but not out, it could be a bad seal on the cap but i have no way of testing that.
I can smell gas near the bed of the truck after a drive, where is the fuel vapor canister? what else can produce a gas smell after a drive? I reset the fault code and am waiting on the p1000 to go away, how long does it normally take for the system to recheck?
thanks for any help!
