So far we have replaced the spark plugs, wires, EGR valve, all three Oxygen sensors, crankshaft sensor EGR Pressure feedback sensor, Air flow sensor CLNR, Mass Air Flow sensor, cam position sensor and
synchronizer assembly, and the damn check engine light still comes on: The fault code, P1308(1/1) misfire monitor hardware CMP misaligned, CKP/cmp noise, PCM AICE Chip DTC severity 2 of 3.

The CEL, check engine light, does go out when erased using the reader, which is a INNova 3040RS code reader. The system what happens when driven, no CEI on, between 40-45 MPH the engine stumbles slightly for a split second proceeded by the CEI lights up. It also stumbles slightly at highway speed, 60-70 MPH. Has anybody had this happen to their Ranger Any ideas? Can anybody tell me if this 3.0 engine is an interference type engine? Has timing belt ?

its a timing chain andnot an interference engine.

as far as the trouble you are having, mine has never done that so i cannot give any thoughts on the trouble

Thank you for returning my inquiry. We believe its the timing chain and sprockets, cause it does it once its warmed up like after arriving at destination restart the engine and bing bongo the damn light comes on.
