I picked this jewel up for $2300 a couple weeks back. The swap was allready completed and the truck does run. I drove it 90 miles home the day I bought it. I am trying to tie the loose ends up.
All this was done befor I bought it.
Holley Systemax Upper and lower with spacer
BBK 70 or 75mm
BBK CAI with K&N conical filter
It does have Heddman Swap headers.
It also has a pretty healthy loping cam.
It does not have an EGR sensor or Smog Pump. Being a mechanic in training I know the EGR is semi important. BTW the plugs to these are just hanging. I taped them up for the time being.
The headers or throttle body do not have a provision for the egr.
The Baro sensor seems to be unhooked with a cap over the 3 pin connector. The intake for the sensor has the normal white air cap.
Now I experienced a bad miss after a radiator hose blew out. I dried my engine compartment with a hair dryer and dry comptessed air. This prompted the connector taping. LOL I solved that or so I thought. On the way home it missed bad. but even through the missing from the radiator hose i could clutch it or go WOT and it would miss and take off like Satan's Chariot. Today it just missed untill I revvd real hard once or twice.
Since the hose incident I cleaned all plugs and Distributor cap and rotor button as well as extremely greasy Coil to Dist wire. Also cleaned and re oiled K&N (was extremely filthy).
Any help would be lovely. I'm stumped.
