1997 ford ranger gem

I have been having some electrical probs with my ranger such as the wipers, dome light, 4X4 sys, seat belt and door ajar warning lights dont turn
on at times. I suspect the gem(generic electronic module) may be failing.
Does anyone know where this component is and how do I get it out?
