I'm working on this 1997 Explorer with a SOHC 4.0l/auto. It has a problem where it will start and run, but when you put it in gear, it stalls out. It then won't restart, it will just crank and crank and crank. Usually it'll be more than a day before you can restart it. I checked for spark, and it is getting spark, and it is getting fuel (I replaced the fuel pump thinking it was the problem).
The crank position sensor was suggested by a friend, or possibly the ignition module. What do you guys think?
