So my 97 for ranger started the deathly "chirp" so after searching, I found out it was the camshaft synchroziner, no problem, didn't look that hard, so I ordered the new parts, can't find where I read it, but I read that 97+ 4.0's take the 132mm shaft, so that's what I ordered from rockauto, well I got my old symchronizer out today, and it's smaller than the new one.....I'll let pictures do the talking..

I'm a dumbass.jpg

So would you all say I need the 123mm shaft, or is there something I'm missing...???

Hoping sense I buy a lot from rockauto they'll help me out getting the right part....

Yep, looks like you need the shorter synchronizer. Rockauto has always been pretty good to me with returns and such, it's just a pain waiting for shipping.
