Hello,

I want to level my front on a 1997 2wd ranger.

I found a 2" Front Spacer Lift Leveling Kit on sale but i'm not sure if i need the one with 'stud extensions', or the other without the stud extensions. Because on the kit it says "1983 to 1996". Are the studs holding the coil longer on a 1997 compared to a 1996 model, or are they the same?

Also i wanted your opinion on using leveling blocks. Does it stress anything? Any cons?

Thanks!

im pretty sure you will need the extenders. ive never heard of them being longer in 97.

i don' t understand, all the kits i find are listed for '1983 to 1996' ford ranger 2wd... It says 'will not fit any other years'.

Is the 1997 2wd different? Has anyone put spacers on their 1997?

Because there isnt any spacers specificaly for the 1997

Thanks

1983 to 1997 are the same suspensions, the deal with the stud extensions are that 4wd trucks alread have long enough bolts but 2wd models dont have enough exposed thread after passing through the radius arm and axle beam to allow you to put the nut on after installing the spacer. i am thinking about ordering a set of the daystar spacers since i have already installed the skyjacker 2" leveling coils and i didnt get the amount of lift i was looking for. they seemed to be the same height as the stock ones i removed but they had a more progressive wind to the spring. now that they have settled im back to my original height but i like the ride of these springs so i think if i put the spacers in i should get a little boost and retain the same ride. i also have longer f150 shocks on the truck so they will travel as far as the spring will.

i have a leveling kit for 83-97 2wd has spacers and stud extenders has only 6000mi on it
