My credo
appreciation
:popcorn::popcorn:Had my tires and center axle bearing replaced last January. I have been experiencing vibration at speeds above 55 MPH. Somtimes more and sometines less during a 2 hour drive. I recently had both drivshafts removed and sent out to a machine shop for proper balancing. Also had center shaft bearing replaced once again. Vibration at highway spedds still exists. My mechanic has given up and dont jknow what it is.

Would appreciate anyone who knows or has experienced this with a Ranger
pickup and can share a solution.

Thank You

Been there...

I developed the same vibration after replacing the center bearing, but I happen to know that I replaced both U joints at the same time and the drive shaft was reassembled wrong. But seeing as you had the shaft balanced and the bearing replaced a second time, are you sure that one of your tires didn't throw a weight or was balanced wrong when they were replaced?

Thanks for responding. I had the tires balanced twice as a part of this diagnosis and also rotated. Regarding the U- joints they tell me they are fine.
