I have a 1995 ranger and it has a 2.9 engine it seems to take a long time to warm up enough to run the heater in the winter i have had it for many years and never worried about it i have changed the thermostate and talked to my local parts store and they say there is nothing that can be done? Any Ideas

um are you sure its a 2.9, if it is that motor isn"t stock, but anyhow, did you test the thermostat before you put it in , i know some of the parts houses thermostats are crap, and i usually find the ford one to last longer, so i would try getting one from the stealership for a couple extra bucks,
