1994 ranger svo turbo swap info.

I need help. I have a 1994 2.3l ranger needs a rebuild. so im thinking of buying a 1986 svo motor, but I want to know if I should just swap the motors or just swap pistons, injectors and all of the turbo stuff.

I would rebuild the turbo motor and then do the swap. I'm not a big fan of used motors though. If you aren't going to do a rebuild though, swap in the turbo motor.

I got most of my rebuild parts from Rockauto.com, I just had to piece together what I wanted as I didn't want aluminum rings, I'll see if I can round up some part numbers tonight.

Reseal it, fresh timing belt and go, go go!

You'll want to use the injectors that came with the SVO motor, as they'll be considerably larger than the N/A injectors, you're replacing.

I meant aluminum bearings not rings , I could only find one company that made trimetal bearings...

Quarter horse by moates. Its basically plug and play and tunable for any application.

I'm just running a PC1 ECM from a thunderbird... it runs pretty darn good, eventually I'll switch to the LC3 I have...

converting to 4 plug is easy, ground the center pin of the intake side coil pack and terminate the other two wires and wala!
