1994 frame compatibility?

Hello, I have a 1994 ranger ext cab 4x4 with a significant crack in the rear of the frame, almost right on the forward-most leaf spring bracket is. Knowing that the frames are separable, I was just wondering if the back frame half of a 2006 ranger ext cab 4x4 would fit onto the front frame half of my 94? Thanks in advance

94 frames aren't separatable - that's a '98 and newer thing. And no, the back 1/2 of a '98+ frame doesn't "fit like a glove" if you cut the frame to be like a newer Ranger. (And it needs to fit snug to ensure the load is transferred smoothly.)

Drill it, grind it, weld er up and plate it

A crack has to leave you more to work with than some of the rust repairs I've seen.
