1994 F 150 4x4 stuck in low

After it quit working I used the troubleshooting segment of this site after purchasing a meter. The motor showed short, so I replaced it , even though the neutral switch showed open. The new motor went into 4 hi and when I shifted to low it stuck and even though the module clicks the motor does not respond and move to high. What have I overlooked?? Anybody?

I tried replacing the neutral safety switch on the side of the trans and still have the same problem.

have you moved the truck while in 4wd? the drivetrain could be bound up to the point the motor just can't move.

you might want to try to jack one of the front tires off the ground and retry.
