1990 Ford Ranger 2.9L engine swap to a 4.6L

Hi guy, this is my first time on a forum site and I'm in need of a little help and guidance. I have a 1990 ford ranger with a 2.9L and a 4.6L V8 out of my 1997 Lincoln Town Car with on 97,XXX miles. I'm wanting to do the V8 swap to the ranger but I don't know where to start. Could anyone give me a hand?

Well, to start you need to know if this drive train can fit width/height/length/header clearance/trans clearance. Then you need to know if this thing needs any kind of etest. After that you need to start finding out what's all different between the 2. Like fuel pressure, fuel line size, speed cable or digital, power steering lines, rad size and the list goes on and on. 1990 and 1997 are two completely different era of vehicles. You're basically going to have to transfer everything (drivetrain, complete wiring harness, gauges, ecm, fuel system including evap crap) from the Lincoln to the ranger.
