Buy a swap manual for your year Ranger. This will tell you where all the connections need to be made on your truck.
The manual assume you are using a 1993 Mustang harness.

Buy an EVTM for your year of F150.
Study the Mustang EVTM diagrams available free at www.fordfuelinjection.com and www.veryuseful.com and compare them to your F150 wiring.
Doing this, you can figure out how to wire the F150 harness to the Ranger.

No need to remove excessive amounts of wiring (fuse box, etc. ) from the Ranger.

ok well has anyone ever stick the dash out of an f150 into the ranger?
Why would you want to do that? Several have modified their existing dashes for aftermarket gauges.

well because it would be nice to have digital gauges for one also easyer with the swap

I don't know how that would be easier...
But just rip them both apart and see what happens. Anything is possible.

i look at them EVTM and im lost so i thought it was easyer to swap in the gauge cluster, and the fuel tank so all i have to do is plug and play

I think the proper words are "Plug and Pray". No need to go thru all what you think you have to. Teddy told you to get the Harwood manual for the swap, basically all wiring is done engine side near the firewall.
