looking for a 1988 ranger instrument cluster wiring diagram pinout.

Ford didn't publish anything that organized in 1988; in the service manual and the EVTM each pin is only indicated in each separate circuit.

Give me a few hours, and I'll have the time to look them up and make you a list.

Connector C206 (Gray):
Pin 2: Ground for Brake Indicator - Pnk/Wht
Pin 3: to RABS Module - Dk Grn
Pin 4: Ground for Low Range Indicator - Lt Blu/Blk
Pin 6: Ground for Low Oil Level Indicator - Gry
Pin 12: Panel Illumination - Lt Blu/Red
Pin 13: High Beam Indicator - Lt Grn/Blk
Pin 14: Ground - Blk
Unspecified Pin #:
Power for Resistive Gauges - Blk/Lt Grn

Connector C207 (Green):
Pin 5: Ground for Check Engine Indicator - Yel/Blk
Pin 6: Ammeter - Battery Side (cluster without Tach) - Red/Org
Pin 6 Alternate: Ground for Oil Pressure Indicator (cluster with Tach) - Wht/Red
Pin 9: Ammeter - Load Side - Yel/Lt Grn

Couldn't find any conclusive info:
Tachometer - possibly a Dk Grn/Yel wire

Sorry, I couldn't find a single diagram that shows the tachometer. I guess you can find it by process of elimination, if all the other wires are identified above.
