178 lbs for Duratec long block

2010 Fusion 2.5 Duratec I4, assembled block and head.
removed the balancer assy, starter, w/p, front cover & timing chain, both manifolds and both cams.
with all the accessories added back on I would guess about 250 lbs.
 
Yep! They're pretty lightweight compared to other Ranger engines. It's a big reason why they're the popular choice for sporty Lotus replicas and such. Will you have an opportunity to weigh it fully assembled too? There's not a lot of info that I can find for the Weight of one in 'Ranger trim'.

I'll try. the Fusion oil pan is nice 'n flat, made it easy to balance on a bathroom scale. :icon_rofl:
