starting a dana 60 and sterling 10.5 axle swap in my ranger will post pics of everything i've gotten so far

anyone know if they make coils big enough to run 42s or would i have to get some king coils or fabtech seem to be the only two kinda i can find who make them big enough

and im thinking about running bilsteins in the rear any ideas would help greatly

I'm thinking at that point.. coilovers or air shocks are the right answer.

thats what i was thinking , cause king coils run about 1200
i dont know about fab tech

was thinking also fox air shocks
or bilsteins 5150

whats your opinon ?

You don't want height and 42's......

It really sounds like you need to research this quite a bit more.

I'm running 40's on about 5 inches of lift....

i have a 8in skyjacker suspension lift kit , cut out flares and 3in body lift , everywhere i read says that isnt high enough to turn 42s theyll rub

Low is the name of the game....not tall. Cut till they clear.

Those are 40x16x17 LTBs.

what did you use for a tcase , tranny (i blew up my A4LD ) . front suspension ?

i also dont go through trails im its a mud bogger

Stock drive train....4.0L, A4LD with shift kit and BW1354.

Running 5.38 axle gears with a grizzly locker rear and a zip locker front

I'm running 5.5" chevy lift leafs out back and I built a front 3 link on 14" King 2.5" air shocks.

that kinda what i wanna build up to
do you have any pictures on how you did the steering ?

im gonna run 538 with a true trac in rear and a e locker up front

what do you think about coild only i cant find anywhere that makes em that big only reason i ask cause i cant afford coilovers right now

There are tons of coil options out there...most use something from an early bronco. Ranger coils are too stiff for a solid axle suspension.

My steering is pretty simple

I found 9in skyjacker coils for a 77 bronco but some people say they will be too stiff for a ranger

How does the A4LD hold up to your 40s?
Do you have the offroad package ?

His "offroad package" is a highly thought out, researched, and hand built beast of a truck. If you want to run 40's, you need to get creative, especially since you want to run them on a ranger. You can't find a "kit" My advice is to sit down and do some serious research. I highly suggest Pirate4x4 for good simple information (if you can sift through the bullshit).

Pirate will have tons of info out there...

Bilstein 5150's are just shocks, not air shocks... that's what I have on the front of my B2.

I'm talking solely about the transmission there . I've had problems with the A4LD and it seems to be workin for him . Curious to see if he did anything cept the shift kit

I have done my research that is why I have a few questions not 100
Few things I'm unsure of

How do you like the 5150 I've heard both sides bein good and bad
