Quick question, maybe you all know of it..

My 2008 Ford escape is blowin through the vents. But only when the blower is set to the highest setting.

What could cause that?

And what would it take to fix?

I dont wanna pay ford 200 bucks to fix it.

Thanks in advance

Sounds like a bad switch to me. Is it blowing full blast on full blast setting or just coming on? Does it work normally on other settings? Like defrost or floor for example. Does it have one of them fancy climate control units or good old fashioned twist knobs? 08' huh dumb question but it's not under warrany still is it? I imagine not since your asking here lol

Probably the blower motor resistor if it works on all settings like defrost, etc.

Here's what it looks like (28 bucks at Autozone):

Thats cool. Thanks for the reply. But nxt question, its manual controlled.

Where is that thing at? I know Im gonna have to tear apart the dash a bit. so I'll change the cabin filter while Im in there.

What is manually controlled? The blower? That doesn't make a difference, your resistor is still shot.

It's behind the glove box. You don't have to take the dash out, just drop the glove box down. Open it, squeeze the sides, and pull out. It will be back there somewhere, along with your cabin air filter.

Oops made a simple solution complicated with extra questions listen to them^ I always forget exactly how that works

push it in the new and improved zippy hole...lmao!!!!!
