02 Sable Compass mirror need wiring info!!!To put in 02 ranger

Hey all!!!I just got my compass mirror from an 02 sable I was just wondering what the three Wires that plug into the mirror are?

There coming from the back of the mirror up the windshield.

(1) wire is a solid black wire( which is the negative most likely)
(2) wire is a black striped with pink(which must be the hot)
(3) wire is a black striped with green(Guessing its some type of control wire)
Is this correct?

How should I wire it in? Its going to be on its own independent circuit.

That's the only part I need to make the compass mirror work right?(the mirror and the wiring) there is no sensor right? Its all built in the mirror?-Thanks Anthony

02 Sable does not have a compass mirror option according to the wiring diagrams. The wiring you described is for an auto-dimming mirror. The black is ground, black/green is the power and the black/pink is from the transmssion range sensor. It sends a signal to the mirror so it will not auto-dim when the vehicle is in reverse.

Wouldn't the auto dimmer go to some sort of headlight indicator so the mirror "dims" at night?

No, it only dims when someone's headlights shine into the photocell on the mirror.
