i have meet that guy... the truck is freaking cool and last time i talked to him he was debating the d35 sas swap but i don't think he has done it yet...

Trips like his would be awesome, but unless you got the money and supplies for it. Most of us can only live through him on these trips!

4x4 isn't necessary. Tire placement and momentum are good for just about everything you'd need on an expedition/adventure.

Its cheaper than you think. I did the North America trip when the truck was pretty much stock. I get a lot of emails about how I payed for stuff, and really it comes down to being smart and getting creative. I'm writing a book about how to go on an expedition and all the details about them.
