Almost all turbo swap stuff is based on pre OBDII since that's what the vehicles that came factory with a turbo 2.3L had

All the 2.3 turbos were OBD1. Thats why many people end up going with megasquirt or some other stand alone.

If you swap some things around there should be no reason why you cant use the OBD2 computer.
