Hello I have a 1998 B3000 SE with a 3.0. I also have a 2000 B3000 with a 3.0.
I have a 98 that I have owned for many years and it has recently been involved in a rear end collision.
I bought a mint 2000 b3000 from a salvage yard untouched for $300 with a locked up engine.
The two trucks are almost identical even down to color.
My question is are there any differences in the 3.0 engines between 98 and 00? Will it be a drop in swap? I had the transmission rebuilt in my 98 about 7000 miles back. Should the tranny swap no problems? It is a 4R44E in the 98, not sure about the 2000.
Any help/ suggestions would be awesome.
