Hey, New to the forum. I just purchased a 1994 Ford Ranger 4cyl from my neighbor, it had a few minor issues. I jumpered the diagnostics pins and read the codes. I got..

11
11
11
11

222
223
224

I assume the "4" elevens are just saying that the system is Okay.

222 appears to be IDM Open or high coil failure
223 Dual plug SPOUT Fail
224 Failing coil primary circuit

So. That's what I found. Now I have no idea where to start. I've already changed the plugs and wires.

Please let me know how to proceed.

Thanks!

Okay got these fixed. Replaced plugs and wires, and ICM it tested bad twice. Everything's gone now.. but now have a new issue.

When I start the engine until it's warm there is hesitation/bog when pushing the throttle. For instance I'll stab the throttle (revving it) and it'll almost die before it revs. after it warms up, it's okay.
