In a failed attempt to remove a CKP sensor that was fused in place (I'm from MI and nothing comes off like it's supposed to!), I broke the piece of the mount it was attached to. Now, I need to replace the engine front cover.
I've removed the crankshaft pulley and balancer, two bolts holding the rear timing cover, and the three bolts that connect it to the oil pan. It looks like I need to remove the crankshaft sprocket, but it won't budge. Where do I pry to remove the engine front cover? Does the inner timing cover also need to be removed?
It's one of those simple repairs that keeps getting worse and worse. Need it back on the road this weekend!
Any wisdom is appreciated.
