I have a 95 ford ranger, had to replace the clutch master cylinder because the inlet from the resevoir on the master cylinder broke off. Got the new master cylinder in. Can't get it to bleed. I understand the fact that air gets stuck in the top of the master cylinder and it is a pain to bleed. I can't remove the master cylinder to bench bleed it, because there is now an engine cage tube that runs right behind it. Also, I have looked up the snap ring removal, so you can pull the piston and bleed the air out that way.
My question is how the hell are people getting to the snap ring to get it out.
I can barely get the snap ring pliers in there, and have gotten the ring to compress, but there is not enough room for me to pull it out, it always seems to snap back into place. Any help on just getting that snap ring out, or any other ways I can bleed it with keeping the master cylinder in the truck would be greatly appreciated!
