1984 Bronco II rear hatch latch

I've got an 84 Bronco II I just picked up and the previous owner had completely removed the rear lock and handle assembly because it had broken but he threw in a used set to replace it. The only problem is it looks like there's parts missing and I can't figure out how it's supposed to go back together. Is there anywhere I can download a parts breakdown so I can tell what's missing?

What kind of hatch does it have? one piece, or with an opening window?

Right, early latches were unique, opened window or hatch. Your hatch is fiberglass, which caused most of the problems, it broke. I have a thread on here where I redid the area and remounted my latch.

It's the 2 piece version, has the opening back window.

There's a drawing of the latch assembly in the factory manual. I could make a copy and send it to you if you have an e-mail address.

You're very welcome, I know how frustrating it can be trying to figure out what fits where. When I got my b2 the handle was missing, trs had not begun and I did not have the factory manual. It was an interesting time in the workshop making parts that had to be imagined and then made. good luck.
