I just replaced the bearings in my 94 B-3000 and noticed that after putting the rear seal back in over the larger bearing that the bearing sits in there loose. I have the rotor face down on the ground, the seal is tight but the bearing can move back and forth, i.e. I can pull it out some from the race untell it bumps into the seal. I did not know if that was normal. When I put the rotor on the spindle, and pack the smaller bearing on the front and put the washer and bolt on it seams to fit fine, but I just didn't know if I installed that larger rear bearing correctly. Can you help?

That's the way they fit in until you tighten the bearing retainers.
Grease it up good so it more or less sticks in the race and assemble it carefully. Be sure that you get the whole thing seated and follow the preload techniques for your vehicle.

Good luck
