Hello I'm getting ready to pull my front differential out to clean the water contaminated oil up, but I can't seem to find the correct diff plate cover gasket for a Dana 35 SLA only seem to find Dana 30 gaskets any help with correct part number would be appreciated. Plus I'm not sure if I have a dana 30 or 35.

Thanks ED

My credo
If you don't have time to do it right will you have time to do it over?
Ford seals them with silicone, no gasket. The gray silicone Ford sells is the best I've found.

Yup no gaskets. I however prefer permatex ultra black! Let the battle begin!

Do you have to drop the differential to do the reseal job?

For the best results and to be sure you got it right the first time, yes. You need to drop the differential.
